Flow

Flow is part of the Teapots in Trees series, inspired by a vision during prayer. Like the other paintings in the series, it invites contemplation rather than offering a single interpretation. The title may suggest the flow of the Spirit, a life's journey, movement, freedom or simple delight. Each viewer is free to discover their own meaning.
Painted in richly textured oils over an earlier work, Flow embraces the history beneath its surface. Thick layers of paint, together with stencilled marks and expressive brushwork, create a tactile, energetic composition that draws the eye through the painting. The visible traces of what came before echo themes of transformation, renewal and the beauty of what unfolds over time.
